We are so very proud to have been supporting The Kate Farrer Foundation for the past 10 years. The Foundation ensures that all donations are used to support tangible medical and social welfare projects (in the UK and further afield) and that donors are regularly updated on grant allocation. They are a grant-giving and fund-raising charity and so appreciate all the support from donors.
Please take some time looking at their website and the amazing work they are doing - www.katefarrer.org
UPDATE From KFF's 2024 - 10th Anniversary
Throughout the past decade we are very grateful to all our supporters who have enabled the Kate Farrer Foundation to help many children and families worldwide - please detailed on www.katefarrer.orgSince we started the charity in Kate’s memory we have developed many close relationships with small, grass-roots charities that we feel encapsulate the KFF’s values. We regularly support organisations over long periods of time and occasionally also consider one-off grants, to causes in new regions, or as emergency aid – recent examples being in Gaza and Ukraine.
To date, the KFF has granted £450,000 to our many deserving projects worldwide, all thanks to our supporters - including nearly 100 regular donors - and our fundraising campaigns. Thank you so much! Many will remember our treasure hunts in Cambridge and Grantchester, ‘Fun in February’ during the pandemic and the World Cup tournament in 2022. Watch this space for a new football-related challenge this summer…
Since 2014, the KFF has:
- Supported 48 projects, via 42 charities, community-based organisations and individual research or training initiatives.
- Helped projects in 25 countries across six continents, from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe. 18 projects are based in Africa, 12 in Europe, 12 in Asia, 3 in the Middle East, 2 in Central America and 1 in the Caribbean.
- Developed some of our longest relationships with charities like Chem-U and Divine Hope in Uganda, ChildAid in Eastern Europe, Medical Aid for Palestinians and Hope Walks in Malwai. We always see the tangible impact of our funding in their comprehensive reporting, and have even visited some of these projects ourselves.
